The MMX Performance Oil Filter Housing for BMW N52, N54, N55, and S55 engines is a precision-engineered upgrade designed to enhance durability, reliability, and overall engine bay quality. As with all MMX Performance products, it is beautifully over-engineered to deliver a premium feel and exceptional long-term performance.
BMW originally equipped these engines with a plastic oil filter housing that is known to be fragile and prone to cracking, especially during routine servicing. Cracks in the factory housing often lead to oil leaks and potential engine damage.
MMX has improved upon the original design by manufacturing this housing from lightweight billet aluminium, offering significantly increased strength and durability. It is finished in a polished, anodised dark anthracite coating, providing a refined appearance while resisting corrosion and wear.
Installation is straightforward and is ideally carried out during an oil and filter change. Simply remove the original housing, transfer the rubber O-ring to the new MMX housing, and reinstall.
