Improve the reliability of your BMW N55 engine with the Mosselman Oil Thermostat. The factory BMW oil thermostat typically allows oil temperatures to reach around 120°C during normal driving. The Mosselman Oil Thermostat opens at a much lower temperature of 85°C, helping to maintain stable oil temperatures between 95°C and 105°C, depending on vehicle model.

By keeping oil temperatures under better control, this upgrade delivers more consistent performance and significantly improves long-term engine reliability. It is especially recommended for tuned vehicles, where managing oil temperature is critical under increased load.

The thermostat is completely plug-and-play and CNC-machined from a solid block of high-grade aluminium at Mosselman’s facility. Unlike always-open solutions, it features a true thermostatic valve, ensuring the oil still reaches operating temperature just as quickly as with the factory unit—making it suitable for both hot and cold climates.
