The EBC Racing RP-1 Rear Brake Pads (DP82133RP1) are engineered to deliver consistent, high-performance braking for BMW M Lite and M models operating in demanding track conditions. Designed around a high-friction compound, RP-1 provides a stable friction coefficient of 0.45μ that remains effective at temperatures exceeding 750°C, ensuring exceptional thermal stability and resistance to brake fade during extended high-load use.
Unlike many race-focused brake pads, RP-1 maintains a usable cold friction level of 0.35μ below 100°C, allowing for confident initial bite even before reaching operating temperature. This makes the compound particularly suitable for track-driven vehicles in non-European markets where ECE R90 approval is not required for road use.
The RP-1 compound is also notably disc-friendly, offering extremely low rotor wear even under aggressive braking. Drivers benefit from a progressive pedal feel with excellent modulation, avoiding the harsh engagement and excessive noise often associated with more aggressive race compounds.
